All damaged shingles, nails, and flashing from the affected valley area are carefully removed.
- Damage Assessment:The extent of damage to the underlying underlayment and roof decking is assessed to determine the scope of the repair.
- Waterproof Membrane:A new, high-quality waterproof membrane (like ice and water shield) is installed across the entire length of the valley, ensuring it adheres to the roof felt for continuous protection.
- Metal Flashing:New metal flashing, typically galvanized steel, aluminum, or copper, is then positioned and secured over the membrane using roofing nails or screws.
